Bulgaria isn't closer to Iraq than Georgia, but I assume you mean that given that many of the aircraft are taking off from England, Bulgaria is closer to their direct route.

Georgia is part of the coalition, as is Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Iran isn't publicly, but I really believe that they are one of the countries that is helping secretly.

So that would give us an alternate route that circumvents Turkey physically as well as logistically.

Given that Turkey may well have inserted troops into Northern Iraq, relations with Turkey may get dicey very soon. The Russian Defense Minister says that Turkish troops entered Iraq two days ago.
