Poppycock. All Bush has offered is empty words on how the

economy is "strong". He has tried to whine up this economy for two years - with disastrous consequences.

During 2001 and 2002 cumulatively the economy "grew" by ca. 500 billion dollars, meanwhile households and businesses added debt of THREE TRILLION DOLLARS, the federal govt. added debt of almost A TRILLION DOLLARS and US states went practically bust. This with real interest rates at zero.

Now there are some signs of inflation and the bond is starting to reflect that. Once that gets going - chaos.
