Mul, Nope, whether or not there was obstruction has nothing to do with the level of threat faced by Britain then and the US today. Their territory was invaded. We are doing the invading this time. IMHO, huge difference in the degree of violation by the supposedly offending parties, Argentina and Iraq. You won't agree, but an ally who won't help when you've been invaded is not the same thing as an ally who won't help when you want to do the invading. It is like a schoolyard situation. A friend who won't help you beat up a smaller kid, even if he's been a pain in the neck, and perhaps tries to prevent you from administering the beating, is not the same as a friend who won't come to your aid after you've taken an unprovoked fist up beside the head.

Or are we just counting angels on the heads of pins here? Possible. I get that way from time to time.
