Here's a logical, reasonable POV.......... .........."I don't agree with Schlesinger that the weather precipitated the war, the war was precipitated by France signaling that there are no conditions it would accept to disarm Saddam peacefully or otherwise. Once that became clear, it was necessary to rapidly act before Saddam's propaganda machine marshall forces of objections so strong that forcible disarming would have been impossible, and thus no disarming of Iraq would have occurred.
