If I mentioned 'Berkshire Hathaway purchased a million shares of SPN or RES', would you go buy it unseen, or would you go research it as well ? Speaking of which, BRK bought about 3 million dollars of LVLT Warrants, does this mean I should buy some also ? LOL helll no. Only a fool would follow what Buffet admits he has done. He's a very crafty guy and seldom lets people see the whole, usually they say they're in something, the fish all follow never realizing the old man is hedged completely by being short bonds or stock etc., or that he got his position at a discount they can only dream of and are providing the buying for him to unload into. I never said do exactly what he does, I said invest with his methods, and like i just said, he buys at a discount, especially in a bear market with so many companies desperate for capital, and he only buys it if he can either flip it for some quick money and is hedged against some unforseen event, or if he totally understands the business and can see it well into the future and it's selling dirt cheap.
