I'm not talking jobs here John, I'm talking US companies buying out Canadian independants.
OK, you know one company, here is a partial list of US companies that have acquired canadian producers over the last 5 years:
Apache, Devon, Burlington, Anadarko, Calpine, El Paso, Conoco, Marathon, Pioneer Natural Resources......
Its not so much canadian productivity that drove them up here, it was our natural gas reserves. Sure we didn't lose many jobs, but guess where a lot of the final decisions about canadian oil/gas resource development are made? |
