Precisely what did the Administration and the Pentagon expect? Adherance to western rules of conduct? Were Iraqis - entirely outgunned - actually expected to perish or surrender by US rules? After a first phase, this war will quickly turn gorilla, and will remain gorilla for the duration of the occupation. Ain't no rules to dying.
