NEWS FLASH:

To get rid of most of the brown sh*t, if you have IE, go to Tools<Internet Options<Accessibility

Check the first box (ignore colors on specified Web pages), and then return to SI. It gets rid of the brown (except for a small amount), and gives you a lot more white background, which also improves the contrast.
