Hi Kerry,

The phenomenon you described about excess traffic is quite true. In the case of Raed's blog, however, I got right through and was reflecting on the latest message posted there.

There was an interesting case of over-trafficking on Saturday. C-SPAN was running a live feed of the anti-Bushwehr teach-in at the American University and decided to cut away to go to a Department of Death briefing. The announcer said that those more interested in the truth rather than the propaganda of the war criminals could continue on-line rather than on the TV network. Immediately the C-SPAN website became inaccessible. While the TV talking heads yammered on about how well their slaughter was going.

The good news is that there is a vast interest in the truth about the Bush crime organization. The bad news is that the crime family has a lot of clever ways to keep the public in the dark.

I rather liked this quote:

"the West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact, non-Westerners never do."
--Samuel P. Huntington

I'm wondering if any readers here are familiar with Huntington's oeuvre?

His view is much in keeping with a quip from the NY Timees' Tom Friedman who suggests that 'globalization of MacDonald's isn't possible without the globalization of McDonnell-Douglas'. (Alliterative but a tad behind in the chronology of mergers and murder madness.)
