Thanks. Saddam seems to be fighting this war, a lot better than the last. Fighting in urban areas, surrounded by civilians, negates a lot of the U.S. superior firepower. The air defense of the Republican Guard at Karbala was more effective than any air defense they could manage in Iraq1. In the last war, U.S. helicopters tore their armour to pieces everywhere. Now, they drive us off. Reminds me of how the Egyptians, between 1967 and 1973, learned how to protect ground forces from Israeli air power. He's still going to lose, though. He can fight 10 times, 100 times better than last time, and the U.S. will still win a conventional war. What is disquieting, is the absence of enthusiasm of the civilians towards U.S. forces. The honeymoon is going to be short.
