You are of course entitled to your opinion. But I have seen interview after interview who spoke of the deep mistrust of US even among the factions who were getting support from US. I heard the reports of Dr. Shahrestani and two Kurdish leaders myself. I also heard the reports of a few American ME experts some of whom had spent over 20 years in Iraq and Saudi. They all said the same thing. One of them even said (I am quoting from memory) "I am very good at my job and this is what I have been trained for. Unfortunately my government is not willing to listen to opinions it does not like". IMO, lack of intelligence was not a factor...if it was to the contrary, the person behind it became irrelevant like other opposing factors...I suppose this is what some people could mean by "resolve"...anyway, it is still too early to say military objectives are not being met. I expect there will be celebrations once Saddam is gone. Then they will refocus their anger on their new government (us) and each other.
