You think they see any better then we do in a sandstorm?? I know this LOOKS bad, but trust me, 50 casualties in what 5 days of combat moving over what 2/3's of the country really isnt horrific. I hate to lose a single soldier but War is hell, just because you are seeing SOME of it in real time doesnt make it any worse then normal. Any combat vet will tell you if they were issuing a REPORT they would say CASUALTIES ARE LIGHT in this situation. Now, looking forward, if we dont start using air power to demolish those Republican Guard units in front of us we are going to see much heavier casualty counts. Yes, I know, they are hiding behind a shield of civilians, BUT they are DUG IN, we are advancing, we are gonna get HURT advancing on dug in positions with out adequate prebattle preparation. I am sorry about the Civilians but War is War, either play it by the rules or go home. I am seeing too much POLITICAL CORRECTNESS right now on the battlefield. JDN
