The following is from Canadian Alliance email, just part of it. I like the comments about the Ontario's MP meeting. Perhaps there is hope after all for the East.

Firearm Registry
New estimates released today show that enforcing the national Firearms Act could easily cost taxpayers another
$2 billion over the next 10 years. Tomorrow, the House of Commons will vote on increased spending requested by
the Department of Justice, and Jean Chretien has threatened Liberal MPs with expulsion if they vote against
additional funding. As Canadian Alliance Critic for Firearms and Property Rights, Garry Breitkreuz asks, “How can
anybody with any concern for the public purse vote another $172 million for this program when the government
won’t tell Parliament what the total cost of the firearms program is so far, and when they’ve grossly
underestimated the future costs of implementing the legislation and enforcing the law? It boggles the mind…”

Recent Successes

Hats off to Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MP Cheryl Gallant for a barn-burner of a townhall meeting last Friday in
Pembroke. Over 650 people attended; in fact, attendance was so great that they had to turn people away at the
door. Inside, our Leader and Mrs. Gallant challenged the Liberals’ inaction on Iraq and their continued funding for
the bungled firearms registry.
