You ignore history. The economy was in terrible condition when Clinton took office. Unemployment was actually higher than it is right now.

Untrue. The economy was well on its way to recovery by the time of the election but the left-wing liberal press continued to ignore the recovery. Unemployment at the beginning of the recovery was 5.8%, about what it is at present. Also, you should know the 'recession' officially started in March of 2000, on Cliton's watch. Clinton built
the surplus on a massive tax increase and the destruction of the military. During Clinton's tenure the Navy lost hundreds of first line pilots who refused to spend their careers sitting at a desk because lack of fuel for flying time. Clinton left this mess for President Bush to clean up because he is a coward and was too busy flipping his zipper to pay attention to the security of this country.
