Banc of America Securities Hires Award Winning Health Care Team From CSFB Tuesday March 25, 10:40 am ET
NEW YORK, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Banc of America Securities (BAS) announced today that it has hired Joseph France, David Maris, Glenn Novarro and Robert Willoughby as Managing Directors and Senior Equity Research Analysts in the Health Care group. The four analysts, all of whom join from Credit Suisse First Boston, will be based in New York. They join BAS' existing Health Care team, which is comprised of Scott Kay covering the pharmaceuticals sector, Michael King covering the biotechnology sector and Gary Taylor covering health care facilities and health care REITs sector. The four analysts will be meeting with clients and company managements from March 25-27 at BAS' 2003 Health Care Conference in Las Vegas.
Joseph France has been honored as an Institutional Investor All-American thirteen times in his career, including each of the past three years. He has been covering health care since 1982, most recently the managed care sector at Credit Suisse First Boston since 1996. He holds a B.S. in Pharmacy and an M.B.A. from the University of Kansas. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
David Maris has been honored as an Institutional Investor All-American for the past four years, ranking No. 1 in specialty pharmaceuticals in both 2001 and 2002. He also has received accolades as a No. 1 Stock Picker by Institutional Investor and The Wall Street Journal. David had covered the specialty pharmaceuticals sector for Credit Suisse First Boston since 1999. Prior to that, he had worked at Bear Stearns and Aros Securities. He holds a B.S. from the University of Delaware and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Glenn Novarro was honored as an Institutional Investor All-American in both 2001 and 2002 and was named the top "Up & Comer" in the medical supplies and devices sector in 2000. He had covered this sector for Credit Suisse First Boston since 1999 and, prior to that, had been a health care analyst with Schroeder's from 1994 to 1998. He began his career with Kidder, Peabody & Co. He holds a B.A. in History from Vassar College and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Robert Willoughby was honored as an Institutional Investor All-American in both 2001 and 2002 for his coverage of the health care technology & distribution sector and has been lauded by the magazine for both his excellent stock picking ability and his candor. In 2001, he was recognized by The Wall Street Journal as the No. 1 stock picker in his sector and was also one of that year's nine "Home Run Hitters." He joins BAS after eight years at Credit Suisse First Boston, Dillon Read and Merrill Lynch. He holds a B.A. from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
