That could be true at the same time, sure .... though part of the supposed dichotomy between the comments comes not only from completely changed circumstances, but from pre-attack responses of Chrétien in the commons being contrasted with those of Graham in a scrum after the attack was on .... too many differences here to translate it into a change of policy .... once the thing is a fait accompli, of course we want to see resulting from it the least possible lasting damage

Cellucci trying to sell us on the war this morning .... well it is a free country, he has a right to speak ... he's presenting current US actions as self-defense against a threat to their security, laying a guilt trip on us for not participating ..... but it doesn't wash - attacking iraquis in this unilaterally militarist manner was not the only option, not even close to the best option, many believe ... instead of reducing threats to security it may well increase them
