There are also those that feel had Canada and others joined to present a solid front to IRAQ this war might have been avoided. Instead it was like having a 2 man advantage in a hockey game and then pulling 3 guys off the ice because the french guy was worried about losing his T-shirt sales to the other team. I think it was Churchill that said something to the effect that appeasers feed the alligators in the hope they get eaten last.
