Soon after Bowling was released someone checked out the claim, and found that the Lockheed-Martin plant does not build weapons-type missiles; it makes rockets for launching satellites.

THAT is exactly the Lockheed plant I was at last week! It is near Littleton, CO, where Columbine High is located. We drove through that town and saw the school (although not intentionally; we were just driving around after being cooped up for several days by the blizzard).
And, NOPE, they don't make nukes or nuclear missiles there. Nor do I have anything to do with that. The division there is Lockheed Martin Astronautics. Most of their business is from NASA, as is the project the division I am in is working with them on- -SIRTF, the Space Infrared Telescope Facility, the next space telescope, to be launched (hopefully) in about a month.
But there is nothing nuclear about it. Not even the power source. It uses good, clean solar panels. |
