The bunch currently in control of Washington wouldn't let that happen, Lino, they were intensely pushing an agenda and schedule that they'd cooked up all on their own ..... they were basically saying to the rest of us, you're with us or else

What you say is quite likely true, a genuine coalition of democracies would have needed to use less military force, perhaps none at all beyond its threat .... but it would have to be genuine, not controlled by any single member

Where many of us are now, is the point we got to on hearing this ultimatum from the bushistas, we have reversed it to more logical order, we say to them look, it is the other way round, you are either with us or you are against us
