and while you have not yet admitted so, i suspect that you see weight in my central argument, that it is not in the interests of the species that we be entirely controlled by any bunch in Washington While I do read your opinions with interest, I disagree that Washington is intent on "etirely controlling the species" as you put it. My perspective is that the alternative to taking control away from tyrants that have absolutely no qualms about butchering their own population, let alone those they don't like, is akin to giving those with Hitler-like aspirations legitimacy. I am thankful that the only remaining superpower is a country based on principles of freedom. Try as I might, I am unable to see the percentage in protecting the "rights" of the likes of Saddam.
