I don't see this board or the press spending any time on the production of Hydrogen from bacteria. Sorry I don't have a link, but a google search turns up a lot. If I recall, a group at Lawrence Livermore had figured a way to starve bacteria of sulphur, then give them light and sulphur (or maybe I've got it backwards) and then a significant amount of Hydrogen was produced. Cycle could be repeated over and over. Hmmmm, big ponds, cover 'em up with something that doesn't let light thru like, hey, amorphous PV cells for a few days, then re-expose the pond etc.
Its been a while since I read about this but I remember a lot of work going on in the area.
And yes, I'm still a lurker here and (unfortunately of late) still a large shareholder. I still believe batteries are going to make us our bucks first, followed by OUM, followed by solar, followed by all else. Regards, FW |
