Total electrical energy losses in transmission are about 10% and is going down with improvements in technology (eg transformers).

If in 20 years we eliminated all losses in transmission, an impossible task, we would still be in worse shape than we are now.

Population is growing much faster than conservation and technology improvements especially due to immigration.

If we want to deal with energy consumed in this nation quickly, the easiest way is to reduce legal and illegal immigration from the 1 to 2 million a year that we allow in. That is an entire large city every year.
