steve, both you and huey are making good points.

Important to keep in mind however that looking backwards at returns from a sample of G&K's known today is success-biased. It excludes all the false-positives identified at the time. In '99, one of the leading Gorilla Experts on this thread posted the following: "If it helps, the following G&Ks and potential G&Ks are the ones I own: @Home, Cisco, Citrix, EMC, Gemstar, Siebel Systems."

A few false positives, it seems.

So when looking back and characterizing the returns from G&K investing, we would not be intellectually honest if we did not include the losers amongst the winners and make an unbiased determination.

Whether we choose 4 years or 15 years as the time frame.
