Z,

It's time we sent troops in there to sort this all out instead of letting the Israelis take care of it.

First of all, it is not going to happen, second of all, how exactly would the US sort things out?

I think the US is sorting things out - indirectly. Taking out Saddam means one less sponsor of terrorism. Next is Syria (and their illegal occupation of Lebanon), which is something the US can sort out as well, by gently suggesting to Syrians to take their troops out of Lebanon (with 200,000 of US troops close to their border, they may listen.

If that happens, the Palestinians may just realize that no one is going to come from anywhere to push the Jews to the sea, and the Palestinians may become realistic in their demands, and they may renounce violence. If they do, the pressure on Israel to come to terms with Palestinians will be strong.
