No. Hot issues have always been part of SI. Back in 1991 it was just talked about in different places than it is now in 2003. The fact that you have supporters on non supporters is always an issue with war. Since its such an emotional topic people have fierce loyalty to their positions. I don't view this as exuberance but it packs some serious emotion.

On a side note...I think you mean nasdaq 5000
