elmat,

Thanks for the brilliant glimpses. Yes, you are on to something. Something momentous. But a clear understanding of the impending Apocalypse is not contained within the confines of your erudition and speculation.

But you and I both know that we are on the cusp of a dramatic world change that occurs only occasionally in the history of this planet. The human race is in the midst of a dramatic discontinuity of culture. E.O. Wilson and Stephen Jay Gould may see this in the biological world more clearly than most.

You and I see it in human cultural evolution.

Or, devolution into madness, as I see it.....

You see the future in Canada and Australia, because of natural resources.

I see the natural future in Argentina's pampas and the highlands of Kenya. Lands of natural plenty that the tribe of Is'rael decided against in order to return to a land of oppression, hardship and perpetual war 120 years ago.

Therein lies the essence of the human condition. The stupidity and sentimentality of a ridiculous romantic movement of the late 19th Century has created the first world crisis of the 21st Century.

Whoever named us "homo sapiens" was creating a sick joke.
