What I think I'm doing is illustrating quotes from the Koran I realize that. I am not arguing the existence of these quotes in the Quran. My point was, and still is, that Islam is not singularly egregious in it that its holy book has bloody passages that we consider inhuman at this stage of human development. I gave you examples of incest, a father offering virgin daughters for gangrape, and God killing thirty children because they made fun of some bald guy, all from the Testaments. The fact is that these books were all written a LONG time ago, for a very different audience, in whose life violence was an everyday phenomenon. They all contain stories that make us wince. Picking on one religion on this basis, while ignoring the ample similar references in other religions, is a very biased and inflammatory approach. Whatever the goal is, it is counterproductive, unless your goal is indeed to incite more hatred on both sides than already exists. The prose in your post required one glass of red wine to enable me to make it through. Thank you. You are welcome. A glass of red wine a day is good for you.
