ABN Amro Raises Oil, Gas Forecasts
By Stephen Voss

London, March 26 (Bloomberg) -- ABN Amro Bank NV, the largest Dutch bank, raised its 2003 forecasts for crude oil and natural gas prices because of low inventories and supply risks such as oil-production problems in Nigeria, analyst Peter Nicol said.

The bank's forecast for Brent crude oil was raised $1.75 to $26.75 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate, the U.S. benchmark associated with New York futures, was raised $2.25 to $28.25.

ABN Amro also upped its U.S. natural gas price forecast by 85 cents, to $4.85 per thousand cubic feet.
