According to U.S./British reports from Umm Kasr, the city is now under control of the invading forces, but reports from other sources indicated that key portions of the area were still under Iraqi control.
I found it interesting to learn that Umm Kasr is a "city" of only 4,000 people. It took US & UK forces five days to seize, right? What do you know, it looks like poor little Iraqis who would throw flowers at US & UK forces upon sight are resisting the invasion, after all...
Oops, I forgot. The ones who fight are NOT the Iraqi people, but the irregular guerillas who are somehow loyal to Saddam. Hmm.
If the administration would give straight, honest answers, they would find much less support from the general population
Shouldn't it be the exact opposite, in the case of a "normal" audience (as opposed to one that is drugged, hypnotised, or under gunpoint)? |
