John, Security along the border is extremely important to U.S. a number of terrorist have come across from Canada. Look at our relative populations. How many probably did you just in through 'normal' channels. You think the huge army of illegals you have are all there from Canada ? How many 'terrorists' get in / would get in on normal student visas etc. American admin is on a witch hunt here, afraid to look in the mirror. Tighten security at the border hurts not only Canada -- fair enough. Are not your helecopters all over thirty or forty years old That crash leapt out at me. Aren't those Seakings some of which the Brits are crashing too over there. Someone had better get them in line. cbc.ca defense at their risk to support other social programs that are chocking you -- Is your federal budget balanced ? What's choking the US economy ? Your gov was ready to give what number of BILLIONS. to your buddies the Turks for right of way on land and base usage ? How to pee away money. I agree we need more on defense but why is that Americans always see Canadian social programs as a threat ? It's always thrown up at us. My sister lives in California and makes a $hitload of dough thank God, otherwise healthcare wise what does she have ? Things like healthcare (for all the fancy arguments put forth) come down to: Do you want private sector greed and I'm alright Jack attitude or public sector waste. I've seen it from inside and NEITHER works great. I doubt humans will ever find that proper balance of profitability, innovation, altruism and accountability. Again yes we should beef up our military a bit. I really think we should get some nukes (really surprised my previous mention went unchallenged). I mean what more do we need ? Just who could realistically attack us that we couldn't handle with that stick and a small but well trained / equipped armed forces. gotta work now regards Kastel
