I am firmly convinced that what the US has done to Iraq these past few decades -- both directly and indirectly -- will go down in history as one of the worst crimes ever by any nation. Almost on a par with Hitler's holocaust.

First they help bring Saddam to power in a bloody coup.

Then they encourage him to attack Iran and supply him massively with money and weapons for that task.

The result is an 8-year war that exhausts both Iran and Iraq -- killing hundreds of thousands.

They then lure Saddam into Kuwait and use that as an excuse to butcher tens of thousands of poorly trained conscripts and wreck Iraq's infrastructure.

This is followed by 12 years of near genocidal sanctions that cause more hundreds of thousands of deaths.

And finally we have the current massive US aggression.
