Zo Re...Unfortunately, in Israel's case, once the buffer zone is on their land, you end up with an Israel that is six miles wide at its center and more or less indefensible. Well, one way is to exchange land in the Gaza strip for land next to the West bank, and try to make each state viable. Gaza isn't viable by itself either. However, I don't know much about Gaza, and which towns are strategic, so that is just a wild ass guess of one possible solution.
