ST, an educated, informed, enlightened citizenry should be the goal of every civilization and each country. Why do you propose that it is an American responsibility to do this in the middle east ? Seems to me, it is their responsibility, not ours. Personally, I don't think they're deserving of our financial support as Jacob proposed; those funds are better utilized taking care of our own citizens. Surely there is enough oil money in the middle east for governments to build a better future, if that is truly what they want. JB
