tv reports and veracity ..

I feel this situation unfolding right now poses a good test as to the truth of numerous reports emerging with varying "bias" on tv ....

a) "attacking Iraq forces" (numerous amounts of vehicles, but upwards to 1000) on the move
b) two evident vehicular forces .... 1000 out of Baghdad and 200 out of Basra (no count of troops in either)
c) Allied supply lines in danger
d) All cities, other than ONE tiny town of fewer than 15K still in control of Saddam.
e) No uprisings internally in cities ... some up risings in cities ... some uprisings, but have been put down by Saddam controlled forces
f) Allied forces stalled due to lack of fuel, supplies, etc

and on the other hand

Rumsfield-Meyers-Franks

a) everything going according to plan
b) everything under control

NOW ..
the way I see it
these TWO opinions are divergent ....

my belief .. which has just as much effect on the war effort as me typing this post <g>
is
Allied Command is "mostly correct" ...
there are some unexpected factors ... *(sandstorm, advance very rapid, ambushes under a white flag, etc)

but, to ME ..
MOST all these "talking head war analysts" on tv have about as much insight and ability as the "talking head STOCK analysts" on market related tv the past three years ... heck, the past TEN years ...

so ...
I personally feel this ongoing "battle(s) attack" will show something related to my header on this post ...

and ...
I feel sure that these war analysts will have verrrrrrrry verbose in their remarks in telling us what Pres Bush and PM Blair will be doing shortly tonight ...
and
not really have a danged idea of what is actually worked out OR talked about ...

end of rant
