I mean 911 happened in 2001, not in the friggin' 1980's, which was an eon ago. The Japanese are now allies. In 1941 they were bitter enemies. You can't reasonably take the posture of the United States in 1980 under an entirely different administration from today, and claim it hypocritical for a modern US administration to take a different posture. The mere suggestion of such a thing is jess plain stOOpid.
