You want an answer as to how an idiot can be ruling the U.S. First consider that half the population of the U.S. is already so idiotic that they don't vote. More than half of the rest that did vote, voted against Bush. But with the aid of friends in the Supreme Court he sneaked in. So why are there so many idiots? Alas, smart people tend to have few children and dumb people tend to have more children. This is the trend of rich countries. And the U.S. has been rich longer than any of the others. The genetic decline has gone on longer. We need to construct a society in which the intelligent are bribed to have more children and the unintelligent are bribed to have less. We need a society in which it has been realized that a very few do most of the innovation and most of the wealth creation. All countries need more of the intelligent, the creative people, and fewer of the other kind. The countries that realize the importance of this matter will race to the front. The U.S. is, currently, falling back. I continue to believe that investing in the U.S. is a long term mistake.
As for Bush being the most reprehensible person on the planet, I think you are getting too carried away. Saddam, Sharon, Bin Laden can all give him a run for his money in the evil league. They are all bad men.
