And you think your going to get "good" information from the main stream press? While I think the press briefings don't actually "lie" - I think they withhold a lot of information. And part of withholding is not correcting rumors unless they are just too blatant. A lot of responsibility falls with the questions that reporters ask - such as focusing on and emphasizing that 22 of our guys have been killed and making it sound like the end of the world. Or harping on one stray missle that went into Iran or some neighborhood. These things happen in war. It's unfortunate. I like the attitude that our military has now. In WWII, if there was a machine gun nest in a building, they exchanged gunfire until one side got killed. Blowing a building to smithereens before one of our guys get hurt is a very reasonable thing to do.
