Says who? Many Saudis would say the House of Saud is totally irresponsible and not fit for the job. They want to change that. But guess what, we don't let them. You can only argue your logic if we were not involved and the Arabs were free to choose whatever government they want. But we have been involved and continue to be.

ST - What is your claimed method by which we are responsible for keeping the House of Saud in power? If it is by dealing with them economically, then we imagine the flip side - that we embargoed all repressive regimes. Imagine the world uproar then. You think they hate us now, imagine the aspersions cast about our being holier than thou, ... . I really am curious about your claim of responsibility, especially given your background knowledge of the ME.

BTW - I will be responding to your post on what we should do in Iraq, but it is not a simple response so it takes more time than I have during the week.
