You know the real scandal is that we probably don't even need Middle Eastern oil. If we really were determined, we could make our economy so efficient or switch over to a hydrogen based economy that we wouldn't need ME oil anymore. We're hooked on ME oil, because so many people make fortunes off of it. And in the meantime the environment suffers and we have to fight wars and spend $10s Billions of dollars to protect those ME oil supplies.
