You are making a causal connection where none exists.

And you are blaming the big bad out-of-state corporations for all of california's woes. Why not blme the stupidity and vested interests of Gray Davis, the legislature and the regulators in California?

They could have prevented the problems, just like every other state did. Name me one other state that had such problems with Enron and their ilk?

The real budget busters in California are health and education spending. I'm not making any judgements on those expenditures, they are very important. What i am saying is that the energy issue dollars are nil compared to the health and education spending that is wieghing on the Cal budget.
