It is most unfortunate for the army of SH (not to mention any civilians or captured coalition troops that get in their way) that it is he and his regime that molded them into what many of them have become today.......little more than animals with nearly total disregard for human life or dignity.
Can we agree to ostracize any nation that doesn't follow the Geneva Conventions?
Yes, let's agree.......who do you suggest lead this effort? The leaders of Lybia or Syria? <sorry I couldn't resist>
What standards should be followed to determine when a country crosses the line? What remedy should be used when a serious disagreement exists between nations? What is a nation, who is convinced that it's very existence is in serious jeopardy, to do when it's efforts to eliminate that threat are blocked by other nations more interested in economic benefits they derive from that threat?
Isn't it a fact that all efforts to bring Iraq into the fold of International law were fruitless including (obviously) the laws of the Geneva Convention? I admit that I have not read the Geneva Convention so that really leaves me unqualified to comment, but I am a perceptive person, and it is quite obvious that after 12 years, every invitation to join a majority of nations willing to live within the rule of law has been turned down by the regime of Saddam Hussien.
In the new world of terrorism, I believe it will take a new set of rules. A set of rules that addresses questions like:
1. What is a terrorist.
2. How do you recognize an enemy combatant who is too poor to afford a uniform.
3. What is the difference between a "freedom fighter" and a criminal.
I'm sure there are several more questions to ponder. In the end, it is a new world with new questions that need answering .
I think that you really wanted to discuss the decision of the US to reject the International Criminal Court.
On November 14, 2002, Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security John R. Bolton addressed the Federalist Society and detailed the reasons for opposing it.

If you haven't done so already, please read it when you get the chance.
If you are an American, it is easy to understand our reasons for opposing the International Criminal Court.
What goes around, comes around. You reap what you sow.
Are you referring to the blowing off of the tops of heads, and the mutilation of groins of our captured troops.......then broadcasting it all over the world via television?
I'd like to point out that it sounds like you are suggesting that this is a kind of moral revenge? If so when does this kind of behavior end?
I've spent too much time on this post......it's your turn.
