Show me this in the Arab media.
Please don't make me try to find translations of articles. Why don't you Google the subject in English and take a look at Arab sources?
I think the west is better at showing both sides of any story than anything you'll find in the Arab media.
That was correct before, but these days, most western media is extremely pale. I feel this is because they only tell what they are allowed to from the war front, and there is serious pressure on them for not criticising their forces on the ground or showing the realities.
If you recall, the day after the invasion started, US media announced that Umm Qasr was under control. It turns out that was a lie, and the little town of 4,000 people and several hundred stray dogs resisted for five days. US media said Saddam's second man was dead or had defected. Then he holds media conferences. Etc etc. Sorry to say this but the news from Iraq, as told in Arab media, in this war have so far been far more correct than those in US media which, guided by their government who controls the flow of information, have been participating in this war of disinformation. |
