With all due respect, what was everyone expecting..Shock and awe in the expectation that the Coalition would level Baghdad and other major cities? Yes the southern cities' populations will have to endure the terror from their oppressors a while longer, but we are going for the head of the monster and once that is taken care of the rest will follow.
I personally have been shocked by the perfidy of the regime and the brutality we are witnessing. The current reports from the embedded media are they are pulling young male children out of homes and forcing them to fight, putting civilian women and children in front of them as the shoot at the troops, chemical protection suits, atropine injectors, tanks and soldiers set up in hospitals, US and UK uniforms complete with name tags.
I have also been awed by the care and expertise of the targeting of military targets. I have been awed by the sense of purpose, determination, and bravery of our soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines. |
