thanks for the thought, and candles (i'll take whatever might work). the shingles are not the problem now, they were sucessfully treated. the problem now is i cannot keep my right eye open and driving is limited (and hazardous to anyone else on the road or sidewalks). am being treated by docs and they are optimistic that the inflammation and sensitivity will be corrected. i hope they are right. This is the first "disabling" ailment i've had in my life, and it is scary. Though spring is coming, and the gals in short shorts and tank tops. definitely an inspiration to get my vision back!!! larry
