I think the importance of the war news will wane Gottfried. It's more likely to become the importance of the length of the war. As long as we are still fighting in Iraq it will be a drag on our economy even though oil prices are now lower. So I think 285 on the SOX is a likely buy the dip number. I'll be interested to see if the selling here starts to turn the BPNDX lower soon. At this point another trip back down to 30 would definitely be likely to entice my long investment dollars. Still you are right in that the war news will effect the day to day volatility. RtS
