Where were the Americans 12 years ago when the Iraqis were gassing the Kurds? Rummy Rumsfeld sold the Iraqis more chemical weapons whilst it was well known in the govt. circles that they were doing Genocide to them. For 10 years this was going on and the US didn't say a word to the Iraqis, let alone start sanctions. But it was good business.
Yes a sanctions bill was passed in Congress and the Senate, but a good ol' Republican President/Actor nixed it.

Now the hypocrisy that Bush is justifying this war by speaking of atrocities which happened 12 years ago that his Defense Secretary supported and encouraged. This is why he, Rumsfeld and the other gang of thugs have no credibility in my books (re. the higher morality behind this war).

Follow the Money and you'll find the true motive behind this war. Works every time. History has shown that every war started has to do with Commercial interests.

So I wish Republicans and other hacks would cut the crap and honestly say that this war is about Oil and Construction profits. If it weren't then Bush would have no objection to having the UN come in and oversee post-war Iraq development and governance. But Bush wants a US occupation govt. This pillage and plunder, nothing short of it.
