Aeroflex Announces Multiple Contracts Valued At Over
$10 Million For Microelectronics Modules

PLAINVIEW, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 1997--

APPLICATIONS FOR SATELLITE TELECOM AND

DATA COMMUNICATIONS

Aeroflex Incorporated, a manufacturer of electronic systems and microelectronic components,
announced today that its subsidiary, Aeroflex Laboratories, Inc. has been awarded multiple
contracts totalling over $10 million from customers including Hughes Electronics, Raytheon, Space
Systems/Loral, SCI Systems, Lockheed Martin and TRW. These contracts, which were
consummated in June 1997, are for microelectronic multi-chip-modules (MCM's) for satellite
telecommunications and data communication processing applications, with deliveries over the next
12-18 months.

use in a wide variety of communications applications.''
