It is plain from scripture that neither Christ or the Father are interested in saving all men.
Oh really?
John 1:17 For God does not dispatch His Son into the world that He should be judging the world, but that the world may be saved through Him.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 I am entreating, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, pleadings, thanksgiving be made for all mankind, 2 for kings and all those being in a superior station, that we may be leading a mild and quiet life in all devoutness and gravity, 3 for this is ideal and welcome in the sight of our Saviour, God, 4 Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.
1 John 2:2 1 My little children, these things am I writing to you that you may not be sinning. And if anyone should be sinning, we have an Entreater with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Just. 2 And He is the propitiatory shelter concerned with our sins, yet not concerned with ours only, but concerned with the whole world also.
Now yours:
John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
Brian, this verse is talking about a temporary condition. Show me where it says it is permanent. We are all at one time ungodly. Christ died for us while we were/are ungodly. Blindness is temporary. Just as with Israel. Blindness came upon them so that salvation could come to the nations. But shall they stumble as to fall, no, and thus, all Israel shall be saved.
You are still stuck in the ages aren't you? You need to get beyond time. Not all are to be blessed during the future reigns of Christ. The reigns of Christ are NOT eternity.
Until you understand this, you will continue to condemn and damn those who are not at this time "chosen".
But they will be. For as in Adam, all died, even so, in Christ shall all be made alive. Not ALL IN CHRIST, but IN CHRIST, ALL there is a huge difference.
