I understood what you meant.:-)
The war may seem unconventional, but after
9/11, the world has changed from our POV
and extraordinary measures were needed.

We're limited in our method of waging war
by our own ethics, however. Our enemy is not
so constrained.

You indicate that you don't blame them for doing
whatever to defend themselves.

I suggest that behavior in this context
shows people for what they are.
