It went to 40 because all stocks went up. It was a "bubble", something, like in Japan will never return. MSTR for example, traded at $333 then (or in todays share count, $3330 - finance.yahoo.com. Some estimate that it could take as much as 40 or even up to 100 years until stocks might reach the same level ...but before that happens, the companies without significant revenues and earnings will vanish,...
